Tim Burton's Labyrinth

During my recent visit to Berlin, my home town, I noticed that there was a Tim Burton Exhibition currently on display. As a big fan of Tim Burton’s work in Film, Animation, and art, I had visit. The venue was in an old warehouse in the alternative district of Friedrichshain (close to the train station Warschauer Strasse).

The exhibition was labyrinth themed. One would go through the exhibition by choosing one of multiple doors to advance to the next area. This means that if you only go through, you can never see all the rooms. I bought a multiple entry ticket and was able to at least go through the maze 2 times, by which I thought I have probably seen the majority. There are rooms that are connected to every path through the labyrinth, these are usually those where real life statues of famous Burton movie characters are immortalized, like Jack Skellington or Beetlejuice. Occasionally there were Burton's artworks exhibited on the walls. It was an interesting concept and as someone who really likes the imaginative worlds of Tim Burton I enjoyed the experience, although maybe the entry fee of 38 Euro might be a bit on the pricey side.
