With the majority of media delivering apocalyptic news these days, I spent a week away from Tokyo - in Nagoya- following the massive earthquake that struck Eastern Japan on March 11, 2011. Having lived in Japan for almost 4 years now, I have to admit that I have never visited Nagoya before. True, I passed through countless times but never stopped over to have a look at the most vibrant city between Osaka and Tokyo.
One of the most outstanding landmarks in Nagoya is the so-called Spiral Tower, property of Mode Gakuin HAL, a famous design school in Japan. Like its impressive sister tower, the Cocoon Tower in Tokyo, its almost impossible to pass by the Spiral Tower not to be impressed by this architectural marvel.
Let the pictures speak for themselves.
