Rediscovered Berlin

Thanks to my girlfriend coming with me to Berlin during the winter-break, I had the opportunity to rediscover aspects of this beautiful city that I didn't see anymore as someone who grew up there. Here are some impressions of that awesome week we had.

The "Pariser Platz" with the "Brandenburger Tor" in the background. It is the ultimate symbol of Berlin and used to function as a gateway between the two divided parts of Berlin.

On top, there is the "Quadriga". Here in Focus.

Taken from inside the renewed roof of the "Reichstag", the German parliaments house. The architecture is simply stunning.

The maze garden of the Jewish museum in Berlin. It was designed by famous architect Daniel Libeskind and intends to show the visitor once the feeling of instability, a theme that constantly emerges when looking at contemporary Jewish art.

The Kaiser Wilhelm Gedaechtniskirche, a church that was bombed during the second world war and reminds us on the bombing since then.

The illuminated "Schloss Charlottenburg" at night, a famous Renaissance castle in the heart of West-Berlin.
