The Tokyo Game Show is one of the most anticipated exhibitions for gamer that draws many customers, Japanese and foreigners alike, every year to a small town in Chiba-ken in Japan. While it is true that there are some new things getting revealed, I found it quite disappointing. Most of the trailers revealed can be viewed much earlier on well-known Internet-sites. Also, It seems that the global financial crisis forces the production firms to exhibit less games or distribute less gimmicks. But that holds true also for other events.
So, with nothing special about the exhibition and less interest in the actual games, what could be worth going to Makuhari Messe? One of the main reasons, especially for lots of Japanese people apparently, are the girls that actually present the games. And I have to admit, it is much more fun to just wander around and have some fun with the girls than trying to get in an almost 2-hour long wait to test one of the latest games. Some shots of the beauties of this year's event below. :)
