We all now the problems that occur with auto generated translations. Usually the result is not very accurate. However, the fact that translations often yield different sentences than expected can be quite fun, as the Google powered website translationparty.com proves.
The idea is to start out with an English sentence, which is then translated from English into Japanese and vice versa until the backwards translation ends up with the same result as the forward translation. In Germany, we know a game in which kids communicate a sentence by whispering it into other kids ears and often, misunderstandings on the sentence's journey through the ears of more than five kids often produces a lot of laughter.
