One of the most beautiful gardens in Tokyo is the Rikugi-en. At least, thats what people tell you. The garden itself was created during Japan's Edo-Period, and later became a second residence for the founder of the famous company Mitsubishi 三菱. The opinion of most people that this is one of the most beautiful gardens in Tokyo metropolitan area is indeed not exaggerated. Entrance is cheap (=300Y) and you can easily bridge time there. Perfect for a day off.
