One very interesting thing in Tokyo (and in other parts of Japan as well) is that almost every station belonging to JR (Japan Railway) has its own commemoration stamps 記念スタンプ. I guess this is kind of a marketing issue from JR, so they can get people (collectors) to drop of every station on a special line, for the stamps are usually positioned outside of the gates.
For me, whenever I have a book with me, I put a stamp inside. While there is no deeper meaning behind it, it's nice to know, where I took a book with me. Well, "old habits die hard"という。:)
