Cheerleader's dance

At the beginning of the spring semester. A campus belonging to a Japanese University is full of students. Many clubs and circles are advertising for their activities and try to convince as much new entered "freshmen" as possible to join them.

While this is rather annoying for the non-freshman because the campus itself becomes as full as an overcrowded train in Tokyo during the rush hour, there are some performances that are actually really nice. When I passed by I happen to saw the cheerleader club's performance.

The main street itself was so crowded that one couldn't pass through easily.

Of course, cheer leading is only one of many activities the students are engaged in (I guess there are more than 100 clubs and circles at an average Japanese university).

Among the other clubs are mainly a lot of sport-related groups but there is also a comic circle, a movie-study circle, painting, computer... and so on.

The one I found to have a really funny name is the circle called "FREAKS" devoted to the freaky art of throwing Frisbees. :)
