When I rented a car a few days ago to travel to Duesseldorf, a city in the Western part of Germany, I esperienced the winter first hand. The drive, which usually lasts about 5 hours by car, became a 12 hours long ride, of which 4 hours were spent moveless in a big traffic jam on the highways in the middle of the night. But the scenery in Berlin was absolutely stunning. Especially the area around the Siegessaeule proved to be an excellent spot for taking good shots. :)
