A circumstance that really annoys me in Japan and in Tokyo in particular, since this city is meant to be the largest agglomeration in the world, is the public transport system. One could think that Tokyo is a city that never sleeps, but the complete opposite is true. The city hits the hay at around midnight. And with it the public transport system. Because this is a well known fact to the local population, most of them wait for the last train to go home or just spend the whole night in the city. The last subway from Shinjuku station (新宿駅) to the place I am staying right now leaves around 0:15 o'clock. Just imagine how crowded those trains are every day. Oh boy! :/
