Apparently, I wasn't the only one who became annoyed by Japanese girls, which one could see en masse putting their make-up on every morning in the crowded trains. Well, now a campaign has been launched encouraging the young ladies to put on their make-up before they leave home. Signs begging for understanding that such a behavior is selfish and annoys the other stressed people commuting can be seen everywhere inside of stations belonging to the Tokyo Metro lines. I wonder what took them so long.
Update: at Yotsuya Station (四ッ谷駅), the pictures showing girls putting makeup on vanished and another kind of enthusiastic campaign kinda started. With the layout by the same designer, people are now encouraged to refrain from using their cellphone on the trains (picture 2 below). I would hope those signs would have any effect when used in Germany.
