Empty shelves in Tokyo

One day after the devastating earthquake in Northern Japan, I took the following pictures at a convenience store around Tokyo station. People were hoarding food at home and the supply was unfrequent. I have never seen the shelves empty in Japan. Now, almost 1 and a half weeks later, shelves are almost back to normal, with the exception of dairy products and fresh meat (in supermarkets).
