The skyscraper district in West Shinjuku 西新宿 has many buildings with interesting architecture. The latest edition is the Cocoon Tower from the Mode Gakuen 学校法人モード学園, a school specialized in fashion. The Nagoya-based school has huge buildings in Osaka, Nagoya and, since 2008, Tokyo. All of them have a very unique architecture and stand out in the huge crowd of skyscrapers in Japan. Let's have a look at the Tokyo edition.

The so-called Cocoon Tower.

The design is so cool, it surprises me every time I pass by, like today afternoon.

The Cocoon Tower hosts three different schools, the Tokyo Mode Gakuen 東京モード学園, the HAL東京, and the Capital Medical School 首都医校.

Sight from the ground.

The building is huge.

And the architecture is clearly distinctive from its neighbors.

The entrance looks like from a Science-Fiction movie...

... with futuristic design elements found everywhere.

Again, the three schools in the tower.

Right next to the Cocoon Tower is this interesting shaped building that looks like a huge ball.

One more view from the ground.

I like the perspective here.

Surrounded by trees.
