Independence Day

A week ago, I was visiting the American Navy Base in Atsugi 厚着. The reason for that was the 4th of July, or Independence day, as it is celebrated all over patriotic America. The trip was quite interesting, being able to walk on the McCain Avenue and the Hancock street in Japan. Well, technically it IS America though.

Basically, the festival was all about having some good time on a big green.

Having said that it is basically American soil, they only served Budweiser, which is famous for its bad taste. Also, I was able to pay in Yen (Subway must be VERY cheap in America) but received the change in Dollar, with which I cannot do anything here in Tokyo.

The big event, however, was once the sun set down: Fireworks to celebrate America's day of independence.
