I just love the Japanese ward offices, or 区役所. :) Sitting there for hours just to become registered. Becoming a slave of modern bureaucracy. Well, at least having the alien registration card (the ID every foreigner needs in Japan) saves one a lot of troubles registering for different matters.

...fill out a bunch of boring documents. One more confusing than the other.
