Just a few random comments

I was about to make a backup of the pictures I took with my mobile phone during my latest stay in Japan. Some of them I wante to post here earlier but I guess I was just too occupied. However, I still want to comment of some of those. So let's get started (comment below the picture).

German Sauerkraut, yeah. This food, which I don't really like, follows me until the other side of the world. :/

These things come in handy quickly. It's basically an electronic device which allows you to pay not by cash but with the amount of (virtual money) you have left on your electronic train ticket. Kinda like those a lot, soo convinient. :)

A German mascot for a Japanese University. That's quite nice, keep it ut, folks at Dokkyo Daigaku in Saitama.

I's really like to have one of those. A bag called Freitag (Friday). :)

This one is quite funny, the character in the middle is turned sideways. But hey, nice style for a logo. somewhat artistic.

This is where I have to go next time. Kitakata-Ramen 喜多方ラーメン, believed to be one of the most delicious ramen in Japan.

Onigiri is filled with MOTHER LOVE. Sure ;) I wonder where I can by this secret ingredient. :D

What is this supposed to mean? Milk Rape? I have no clue. I suppose it should be Milk Crepe (ミルク クレープ).

ON-sen and OFF-furo, well...

Franziskaner original German Weizen-beer. In front of a Japanese pachinko parlor.

This is the bar where you can drink the Franziskaner. It's somewhere in West Shinjuku, a little bit expensive but worth a visit, especially for a romantic evening.

My mobile strap (Astroboy or 鉄腕アトム), the nice thing with convinience stores is that those kind of gimmicks can be easily obtained by buying some kind of drink likeCC Lemon. Yet, quality isn't that good, but hey, it's for free.

Wanted, the movie. I actually didn't WANTED to see it but did so anyway a few weeks ago. It was not bad but not a milestone either.

Some pictures taken at Shinjuku.

I kinda like the effect of blinding lights when you take a picture with a very bad camera (like mine). :)

Some more...

...and more.

"For me...

... it is beer." Come on, that's happoshu, a kinda wannabe beer, no matter how "good" it is made, it is still no beer. ;)

This is how a table looks after a typically nomikai (drink-gatherings) in Japan.

I don't know why I took this picture but it is representive for how many Japanese end up in front of station being too drunk. It's sad in a way, though. (this picture is also featured in the photo contest "Asian Oddities", whose contributor's pictures are exhibited right now at University Duisburg-Essen)

The Mega Mac...

THE advantage of living in Japan, its cheap and delicious, yummy...

...but still too big. How can one eat this burger without tearing it into parts? What were they thinking???

A mark on the map for a "shelter for people with communiting difficulties", or in other word "if there is an earthquake, just get into the shelter and don't even think about going home by train!"

Watch your hands. This picture actually was taken with the door shut completely! So unless you haven't got some real big fingers, there is no warning needed. :D

A 2-level bike parking place in front of Nakano station. This is when you will see how less space they really have left there in Tokyo.

Yeah, yeah, Big Bro' is watching us, everywhere, especially at the train and metro stations.

Of course I will keep to the left. ;)

Did you ever wonder why there are those dots on top of a beer can in Japan? It is actually braille text for blind people. I didn't noticed that you can distinguish a can of beer just by it's top, until now. :)
